What Christ said the
Church would become

13:31-32 Another parable put
he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
(the Church) is like to a grain of mustard
seed, which a man (Christ)
took, and sowed in his field: (world):
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the
greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air
come and lodge in the branches thereof.
The
word 'birds'
doesn't come without significance;
Rev
18:2 And he cried mightily with
a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is
become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul
spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Babylon is
the symbolic name for the false church. But from this reference we can
clearly see that 'bird' stands for evil spirits or demons. Further,
Satan
is called 'the prince of the power of the air' ,Eph 2:2, and here we have
'birds of the air'.
So
the last line of Matt 13:32 will read like this:
'when
it is grown', -i.e. the end of this present
Church Age. 'it is the greatest among herbs,
and becometh a tree', -it becomes unnaturally
huge beyond what it should. 'so that the
birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.' -the
result is that it is infected with demons and evil spirits.
This is not
a picture of a glorious Church as time goes on.
This also
answers the common misinterpretation and false doctrines associated with
Eph 4:13.
'Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ'.
Interpretation
of Eph 4:13:
'Till
we all come in the unity of the faith'
-until we all become united in heaven.
'and
of the knowledge of the Son of God'
-and
of full knowledge of Christ in heaven. ref. 1 Cor 13:12.
'unto a perfect man, unto the measure and stature of the fulness of Christ'.
-to a body with all it parts
complete. I.e. all chosen men saved who are to compose the church. Time
of this completion: in heaven immediately after the Rapture.
Take
note of the next verse: Eph 4:14
That
we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about
with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive.
Again there is the warning concerning the time being, to watch out for
false teachers and false doctrines. After which time of constant alertness,
we will go to heaven and will be a body united, perfected and complete.
There
is more confirmation. 1 Timothy 4:1
Now
the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart
from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
Again we see the infection of devils and their doctrines in the church
as time goes on and towards the last days of the present Church Age.
There is
the outward Church visible and known to the world. And there is the secret
invisible and unknown
Church.
One is true, the other is false. One is composed of Tares, the other of
Wheat.
